Although the next few months are uncertain, we are still planning our 2021 Competition Tour. We are committed to bringing our competition back to our Studios and Families, while keeping the health and safety of all involved a priority.
All of our events will follow all provincial and municipal guidelines regarding the COVID pandemic to ensure the safety of all participants and staff. We will work closely with the staff of the Venue to make sure high touch surfaces are cleaned frequently.
We are hoping that 2021 brings a return to normal, however, if that doesn’t happen, we have some options.
These may change based on guidelines as they approach
-may be limited or restricted based on numbers. We encourage social distancing, ask that the number of family members attending be restricted to 1, and audience members will be asked to remain in their seats and not enter and exit frequently.
-the events will be live streamed so every family member will have the opportunity to watch their dancers from the comfort of home
-refund policy for 2020 events will remain in place, credits will not expire
-100% refund for 2021 events if they are cancelled
-depending on the restrictions in April, we may have to run the competition in blocked studio times. This will allow for all surfaces to be fully cleaned in between each studio. Although not ideal, it will still bring every dancer to the stage.
-if this the case, awards will be presented at the end of the time block, Overall awards will be presented at the end, and a studio rep will need to be in attendance to pick up the awards.
-will be available, we are unable to allow dancers to try on items before purchasing. We will be offering items prior to the competition online with venue pick up
Not feeling Well
-please do not come
-Screening for participants and attendees may be required for daily entry – depending on current guidelines
-staff will be screened daily, temperature checks and masked
-will be an option if any dancers is uncomfortable with physically attending the competition. Their entry will be viewed by the judges within their categories.
-a virtual competition may also be an option if we are unable to run the competition – voluntary only
-will not be required, if a studio chooses to wear body suits for all of their routines, there will not be any penalty
*it is not known at this time if dancers will be required to wear masks on stage, will update closer to the time of the event
Photo and Video
All photo and video will be available online, we will not have the tablets set up for viewing or purchasing in the lobby
A photo and video package will be available for a minimal fee if the studio chooses to participate. That will be at the direction of the studio director.
Covid Waivers will be required for every dancer and will be sent out to studios prior to the competition.
The above are guidelines, and will change as we move forward. I am sure there are many questions, and I will do my best to answer them.
Thinking of all you, Stay Safe and Keep Dancing
